Aloe Vera is a succulent plant that grows in desert regions around the world. The gel produced by the plant is full of Vitamins A, C, E and B12. Aloe extract is commonly used in skin care because of its anti-inflammatory qualities that help to reduce swelling and irritation, it encourages the production and release of collagen, has an antioxidant effect that helps repair sun damage and slows down ageing, and is incredibly moisturising, leaving skin smoothed and hydrated. Aloe extract is often used in skin care to treat acne, eczema, and rosacea and is most commonly found in products specifically for oily or acne-prone skin types.
