The ingredient Butyl Resorcinol is commonly used in skin care products formulated for pigmentation correction. Butyl Resorcinol is an inhibitor of melanin production and, therefore, reduces dark spots or uneven skin pigmentation. After topical application of this ingredient, the skin appears visibly brighter and even-toned. Often this ingredient is found in day creams or products that target problem areas.
